PHILOSOPHY

My goal as a piano teacher is to enhance my students’ perspective on life through effective music teaching and meaningful interactions. My students develop a personal passion for music and understand that they have a unique combination of talents and background experiences that influence their music in distinctive ways.

 

I know that clear goal-setting, purposeful and diligent work, and engaged lessons help my students succeed. Students learn exponentially when the lesson environment is positive and stretching, and I find joy in helping my students discover new repertoire, sounds, and meaning at the piano.

I greatly admire my piano teachers, college professors, family, and peers for their knowledge and diversified opinions that have shaped me into who I am today. I feel qualified as an individual to teach students how to create their voice through structured teaching, exposure to the music and opportunities around them, and helping them develop a constant love for music and creativity.
